Environmental Groups Call for Immediate Disclosure of Magnitude of Coal Ash Disaster

Yesterday afternoon DRBA received a phone call from a concerned citizen that the Dan River appeared "black" at the 700 Bridge in Eden, N.C. We subsequently learned that there is a coal ash leak into the Dan from Duke Energy's coal ash pond located adjacent the river near Eden, N.C.
