The BRFAL BENCH on Grassy Hill

Some of the projects the Blue Ridge Foothills and Lakes Chapter of Virginia Master Naturalists are involved with include "Save our Streams Water Quality Monitoring, The Walnut Run Eastern Box Turtle Project, eMammal Camera Trapping with the Smithsonian,  Smith Mountain Lake Buffer Landscaping and more..."
Recently, our new chapter advisor Ryan Klopf Mountain Region Steward, for Natural Area Preserves, requested a bench be installed on the Grassy Hill Natural Area Preserve which is in the Town of Rocky Mount.
The bench is located on the East Loop Trail

As a family we recently hiked Grassy Hill, and had a blast! It is open year-round, visit the trail head at the parking area near the YMCA in Rocky Mount. Click here for more info.

You can reach Ryan here:
