This happy group celebrated the success of the graduates and re-certifications of members of Master Virginia Naturalists of the Blue Ridge Foothills and Lake Chapter this last Saturday, April 30th at the Franklin County Recreational Center on Sontag Rd.

Neil Fredericksen, Paul Pautler,
Beth Pautler, Linda Atwell, Ellen Nuss, Donna Haarz, Peter Brinckerhoff, and
Jean Frederick were in the current class of Virginia Master Naturalist with
membership in the Blue Ridge Foothills and Lakes Chapter. Members had a picnic and
celebrated their success. Others
received certification, re-certification and milestone pins with their service
this past year. All had a great time
with chicken, and side dishes and a wonderful cake dedicated to the new
class. Kathy Scott informed us of
upcoming events and schedules for our meeting after the picnic. It was a cool afternoon with scattered
showers that made us appreciate the warmth of our friends in the group with
laughter and good conversation.
