2018 ECO Camp a complete success!

For three Saturday mornings in a row in July, our intrepid BRFAL members, with the assistance of Booker T. Washington National Monument Ranger Brittany Webb Lane and Smith Mountain Lake State Park Interpreter Jet Lawler made sure our young guests got some interesting and fun education about nature.  On July 7th they had presentations entitled "Critters - Simply slimy and did you sssay scaly".  On July 14th the presentations were "We're caught in nature's web, we're all connected" and "Fascinating wildlife - Feathers and fur and so much more".  On July 21st the presentations were "Worms off the hook...and back on the farm" and "Honeybees - an inside look at how a real hive works - Sweet!"  The children were very attentive and asked lots of question.  Each child went home with a field guide to South Western Virginia wildlife.  Here is a picture from each presentation.
