Earth Day Exhibit at Franklin County High School

On Monday, April 22, 2013 some members of the BRFAL Chapter of Virginia Master Naturalist had an exhibit for Earth Day at Franklin County High School 2013.

Naturalists Don, De, Lee, and Connie sponsored a display about water and Save Our Streams for the students.  There were other tables by the Forestry Department, Horticulture Classes, Environmental Classes and Agriculture Classes with emphasis on caring for the environment and ecosystems.

The Advanced Placement Environmental Science Class hosted the Earth Day Fair and invited our group to do a display concerning water. Teacher Carla Barrell was most appreciative of our time in providing the display and hopes to sponsor another Earth Day Fair and have additional displays next year.

Our next chapter master naturalist basic training will be September 2013! If you are interested, take a peek at some of the documents on this blog (top and right side bar) or drop us a line at mail: BRFAL.VMN@gmail.com
