This morning a little after 5, I was making my way to my
favorite reading chair when an exceedingly bright light caught my attention. It
was shining through the picture window, low in the East, somehow making its way
through the acres of trees that surround our home.
Because of its size and
brightness, I thought it might be an airplane approaching Roanoke. But I
confirmed with my Skytracker app that this blazing white visitor was Venus, in a clear dry sky, unchallenged by
the setting moon.
What a sweet barefoot moment on the deck, enjoying the
pre-dawn spectacle!
